Rosie Busiakiewicz grew up in London, England, and spent the early part of her career in Hong Kong, teaching and managing K-12 vacation programs. A keen musician and artist, she moved to the East Coast in 2015 to complete her Masters Degree in Arts Education at Harvard, simultaneously working in the education department at Harvard Art Museums. She is very excited to be joining the Fiske team at a Lextended Day, and looking forward to doing lots of creative projects!
Mollie Rock has been working at the Fiske site since 1994. Mollie currently lives in Burlington with her family. Mollie grew up in Lexington, attended Fiske (well before the new school was built), Diamond Middle School, and was a graduate of LHS. She went on to Bucknell University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in psychology. Mollie spent her youth swimming for many different swim teams in the area, as well as coaching for both the Hanscom team and later for the Lexington town team. Mollie also played soccer for many years in Lexington, so, naturally it is fitting that Mollie plans many games and contests for the children of Lextended Day to play outside or in the gym. Mollie loves working at Lextended Day, and helping to foster an environment that nurtures the children's growth, self-esteem, and enthusiasm for learning
Tracy Finn has worked at Lextended Day for the last five years. During this time, she has led group art projects for grades K-5. Her lesson plans are geared toward the “theme of the week” topics. She strives to foster creativity, fun and learning in all lessons. She has taught art in many settings over the course of her career. Tracy enjoys working with Lextended Day as unlike a traditional classroom setting, the children can choose to participate depending on their interest in a particular project. In Tracey’s time away from school, she continues to pursue her career as a professional artist, focusing on landscape oils. Her work can be viewed at www.tracyfinn.com. She also enjoys volunteering at the Peabody Essex Museum in the family programs group.
Kelly Doherty is a new member of Lextended Day but is very excited to be a part of this program. She is a resident of Lexington and graduate of the Lexington Public school system. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State University of New York College at Oswego with a bachelor’s degree in studio art and a minor in expressive arts therapy. One can often find her behind a camera lens as photography is her favorite medium. She comes from a large extended family that fills her days with much crafting and playing.
Shannon Grant has been Lextended Day's Kindergarten Coordinator since March of 2015. Her primary goals are coordinating daily projects based on weekly themes for the kindergartners, and assisting with overseeing the children. Shannon is a graduate of Plymouth State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Physiology. She aspires to go to graduate school and study child-focused occupational therapy. On her spare time, she stays active by going on bike rides and hikes.
Miranda Sciabarrasi has been with Lextended Day since September 2015. She has worked with children for the last five years in during and after school programs. Miranda has an undergraduate degree from Hampshire College in Music and Dance Education, and is currently attending Lesley University in order to obtain her Masters in Dance Movement Therapy. Dance has been an interest of hers since she was three years old, so she enjoys being able to work in a place where she can bring that love of movement to kids. In her spare time, Miranda enjoys dance, yoga, hiking, and spending time with her family.
Michaela Nargi is a Keene State College graduate that works at Hastings during the school day and spends her afternoons in Fiske's Lextended Day program!
