Katie Martin - Site Director
Katie comes to Lextended Day from the YMCA of Greater Boston. She started out in college working at the summer camp in Woburn and grew to become the Camp Director after graduating. Over the past 5 years she has been in charge of camp as well as running an after school program in Burlington during the school year. Katie has enjoyed bringing the fun energy to camp and is excited to do the same at the Fiske Lextended day! In her free time Katie enjoys spending time with family both at home and up at Lake Winnipesaukee.
Kelly Doherty - Assistant Site Director
Kelly is in her fourth year at Lextended! Kelly has been a group leader and then last year the group coridinator. She looks forward to expanding programs and making the children's day at Lextended memorable! She is a resident of Lexington and graduate of the Lexington Public school system. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State University of New York College at Oswego with a bachelor’s degree in studio art and a minor in expressive arts therapy. One can often find her behind a camera lens as photography is her favorite medium. She comes from a large extended family that fills her days with much crafting and playing.
Michaela is a Keene State College graduate that works at Hastings during the school day and spends her afternoons in Fiske's Lextended Day program! She enjoys playing outside with the students, holding Chess competitions, and has a Graphic Design business on the side. Michaela also volunteers annually in the Dominican Republic helping out with youth programming.
Faith joined Lextended Day in the Fall of 2017. She is a graduate of Lexington High School and currently attends Middlesex Community College. She loves helping with outside free play and playing with the kids over a board game. One of her favorite hobbies is to take photographs of her friends.
This is Paul’s first year at Lextended Day! He is a graduate of UConn and has been working in education for two years, and is currently working as a paraprofessional at Chelmsford High School. Paul started working with kids in a camp setting 4 years ago, and then continued to work with them as a guitar instructor. Paul loves going outside and playing board games with the kids. In his spare time, he plays guitar in his band and enjoy watching sports!
Jamie is a recent graduate of Lesley University, who’s just starting out with Lextended Day. She has been teaching and costuming for a community children’s theater program for the last four summers and has done three semesters’ work with The Girlhood Project, promoting media literacy and self love among pre-teen girls. She’s passionate about creating spaces that allow children to explore their creativity, and give quieter voices a chance to come to the forefront.
Leah grew up in Billerica, Massachusetts and lettered in ice hockey and track. She is currently attending Southern New Hampshire University and will graduate in May 2020 with her Bachelor’s degree in Education. After Leah graduates, her plan is to attend graduate school and get her Master’s in social work and counseling to pursue her passion for helping kids and their families. In the summer she works for the Lexplorations program lead by Lexington community education. Leah loves to play and coach hockey, golf, and ski.
Kristi Grout - Kindergarten Teacher
Kristi has worked at Lextended for over a decade. She first started teaching Lextended Day Kindergarten before Lexington Public School switched to full day Kindergarten. She has mostly worked with first graders but has worked with all grades over the years. A graduate of Lesley University, Kristi holds a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Human Development and Family Studies and Elementary Education. After graduating, Kristi taught for a traveling and teaching company, worked in the corporate offices of a major bank, and taught preschool all before joining Lextended Day. Kristi and her husband have two elementary aged daughters who keep them busy! Both girls are on a swim team, dance, and play hockey. She also has a step-son who is in college. In her free time, Kristi loves spending time with her family, listening to music, cooking, bike riding, and being outdoors.
Debbi is excited to join the Lextended Day team this year. Debbi received her Master of Education from Lesley University and her BA from Brandeis University where she studied History, American Studies, and Theatre Arts. Debbi is also the Cultural Arts Specialist at the Epstein Hillel School and is celebrating her 17th season as the Assistant Director and Stage Manager of Natick Drama Workshop. In her free time she volunteers at the Natick Historical Society and gives tours of Fort Warren during the summer. She's looking forward to bringing all of her interests to Lextended Day.
