Site Director -Hilary Rush was born in London, England and came over to the U.S to study Psychology and Education at Northeastern University back in the 1990's. While at Northeastern she took on a part-time position with the Bowman Extended Day Program and never left!  She moved up from Teacher to Coordinator to Assistant Director and for the last two years she has been the Site Director of the program. Hilary lives in Lexington with her husband and three teenage children; Taylor, Chandler and Cassie. She is currently busy finishing up her Master's degree in Educational Psychology. In her free time she loves to spend time with her dogs and watch sports, especially hockey and football.


Brian Etheridge, Assistant Director, grew up in Woburn, played lacrosse in high school and graduated from Worcester State University in 2012. He has worked in the Woburn public schools for the past three years and has helped coordinate summer camp for several years at the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club.  He enjoys playing sports and other out-door activities. Brian recently graduated with his Master's in Secondary Education and is very excited to be the Assistant Director at the Bowman Lextended Day program.

Nikoleta Hatzis 1st Grade Lead Teacher- grew up in Medford, MA. She attended Boston College, where she majored in History. In addition to Lextended Day, she tutor's in math and reading. She can speak Greek, and in her spare time likes to travel, hike, cook, read, and spend time with family and friends.  Her plan is to become a middle school teacher one day.=

Jaclyn Salamone Kindergarten Coordinator-  grew up in Burlington Mass and has also experienced living across the country in CA where she was a Nanny. She has been in the childcare field for 20 years with positions ranging from nanny, preschool teacher to after-school group leader. She is very excited to be a part of Lextended Day as the Kindergarten Coordinator! Jaclyn also works as a Real Estate agent and volunteers for many animal rescue groups. She loves traveling, caring for animals, and spending time with her family and friends.

Whitney Pierre 2/3A Lead Teacher- grew up in Lawrence, MA and is currently studying Human Services at Middlesex Community College in Bedford. Whitney has experience working as an assistant dance teacher at Helene Joy School of Dance in Middleton, MA and as an after-school group volunteer. She works with our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders here at Lextended and also teaches our students dance. Whitney enjoys working with children as well as spending time with her family and friends and traveling.

Sophia Leone 2/3B Assistant Teacher- Grew up in Lexington, Ma and is excited to be back as a teacher.  She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Clark University.  In addition to Lextended Day, Sophia is an Instructional Assistant at Bowman during the school day.  She has also worked in a variety of other educational settings including preschool, early intervention, art camps, and special education programs.  In her free time, Sophia enjoys cooking, drawing, yoga, and spending time outdoors.

Malory Walsh 2/3B Lead Teacher- Graduated from Arlington Catholic High School in 2014 and currently living in Medford, Ma and studying Early Childhood at Middlesex Community College in Bedford Ma. On the side I also spend my time nannying for different families and my own. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching and going to sports games (Patriots especially). I am excited where my next adventure is going to take me and hope one day to become an Elementary School teacher.

Brianna Bond K Assistant Teacher- Grew up on  Acton, MA. She attended American University where she received a degree in Health Promotion.  She continues her studies to become a Health Education Specialist. She enjoys spending time with friends, cooking, cake decorating, and dancing.

Monica Liaw 2/3A Assistant Teacher- Was born in Taiwan and moved to the States for college, where she attended the Rhode Island School of Design. She now works at Lextended Day as lead art teacher. When not working at Lextended or tutoring, she is mostly creating picture book illustrations.  Other than art, she loves making music and learning about foreign cultures and languages.

 Kayleen Anusevitch 1st Grade Assistant Teacher- I am currently studying at Bunker Hill Community College for an Education Major.  I have worked with kids for over 8 years at the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn.  Some of my hobbies are arts & crafts, watching the Boston Bruins and playing with my dog Mae!

Shaydah Ghom 2/3A Assistant Teacher- is currently a senior at Lexington High School and spends a lot of her time doing school work and applying to college. She works with the second and third graders at Bowman after school and in her free time she enjoys traveling. Shaydah works at a day camp in Weston during the summer, babysits, and has taught English to children in the Dominican Republic.

Imge Sahin K Assistant Teacher- holds a masters degree in English Literature from Simmons College. Imge worked as a substitute teacher and a tutor in recent years. She lives in Needham with her husband and two daughters. In her free time Imge enjoys yoga, painting ,and spending time with her family and friends.

Whitney Simpson 1st Grade Assistant Teacher- is from Eugene, Oregon, and recently moved to the Boston area. She works with our second-graders. Whitney studied history and English at the University of Portland, where she was active in the Honors Program, worked on the student history journal, and tutored writing. She has volunteered teaching and mentoring children for nine years and values being able to guide young people as they grow up. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, spending time with others, traveling, and drinking tea.
