Site Director - Hilary Rush
Hilary was born in London, England and came over to the U.S to study Psychology and Education at Northeastern University back in the 1990s. She also has her Master's degree in Educational Psychology. While at Northeastern she took on a part-time position with the Bowman Extended Day Program and never left! She moved up from Teacher to Coordinator to Assistant Director and for the last four years she has been the Site Director of the program. Hilary has three teenage children; Taylor, Chandler and Cassie. In her free time she loves to spend time with her dogs and watch sports, especially hockey and football.
Brian Etheridge - Assistant Director
Brian grew up in Woburn, played lacrosse in high school and graduated from Worcester State University in 2012. He has worked in the Woburn public schools and helped coordinate summer camp for several years at the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club. He likes playing sports such as golf, basketball, and lacrosse. He also enjoys reading in his free time. Brian recently graduated with his Master's in Secondary Education and is very excited to be the Assistant Director at the Bowman Lextended Day program.
Jaclyn Salamone --1st Grade Assistant Teacher
Jaclyn grew up in Burlington Mass and has also experienced living across the country in CA where she was a Nanny. She has been in the childcare field for 20 years with positions ranging from nanny, preschool teacher to after-school group leader. She is very excited to be a part of Lextended Day as the Kindergarten Coordinator! Jaclyn also works as a Real Estate agent and volunteers for many animal rescue groups. She loves traveling, caring for animals, and spending time with her family and friends.
Brianna Bond - 1st Grade Lead Teacher
Brianna grew up on Acton. She attended American University where she received a degree in Health Promotion. She continues her studies to become a Health Education Specialist. She enjoys spending time with friends, cooking, cake decorating, and dancing.
Nikoleta Hatzis - Kindergarten Coordinator
Nikoleta grew up in Medford, MA. She attended Boston College, where she majored in History. In addition to Lextended Day, she tutor's in math and reading. She can speak Greek, and in her spare time likes to travel, hike, cook, read, and spend time with family and friends. Her plan is to become a middle school teacher one day.
Whitney Simpson- 2nd Grade Assistant Teacher
Whitney is from Eugene, Oregon, and recently moved to the Boston area. She works with our second-graders. Whitney studied history and English at the University of Portland, where she was active in the Honors Program, worked on the student history journal, and tutored writing. She has volunteered teaching and mentoring children for nine years and values being able to guide young people as they grow up. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, spending time with others, traveling, and drinking tea.
Malory Walsh -3rdLead Teacher
Malory Graduated from Arlington Catholic High School in 2014 and currently living in Medford, Ma and studying Early Childhood at Middlesex Community College in Bedford, MA. As well as working at Lextended Day, Malory is a nannying for different families as well as her own. Malory enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching and going to sports games (Patriots especially. ) She hopes to one day to become an elementary school teacher.
Whitney Pierre - 4th Grade Lead Teacher
Whitney grew up in Lawrence, MA and is currently studying Human Services at Middlesex Community College in Bedford. Whitney has experience working as an assistant dance teacher at Helene Joy School of Dance in Middleton, MA and as an after-school group volunteer. She works with our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders here at Lextended and also teaches our students dance. Whitney enjoys working with children as well as spending time with her family and friends and traveling.
Amy Size 2nd Grade Lead Teacher- Amy was born in Boston, and grew up in Andover, MA. She just moved back to the area from Martha’s Vineyard, where she was working as an artist, and elementary art teacher. She has taught children from preK through high school for the past 17 years. Her other passions besides art, include travel, swimming, yoga, reading, and music. She lives with her husband, young son, and their 3 cats.
Amy Nowosielski- 3rd Grade Assistant Teacher- Amy grew up in Woburn and lives there still with her fiancé and three young children. She has worked in child care in many roles such as a nanny and class room volunteer. Amy would like to be an elementary teacher one day. Amy also enjoys reading, spending time with her family and traveling.
